It emerged Monday that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have ended their three-year relationship.
Zac, 23 and Vanessa, who celebrates her 22nd birthday on Tuesday, started dating when they were only teenagers, after meeting on the set of the hit TV movie High School Musical, which made them household names.

It emerged Monday that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have ended their three-year relationship.
Zac, 23 and Vanessa, who celebrates her 22nd birthday on Tuesday, started dating when they were only teenagers, after meeting on the set of the hit TV movie High School Musical, which made them household names.

However, it seems there is no third party involved and it was simply a sad case of growing apart.
'It's nothing dramatic,' a source told E! Online. 'There's no third party involved.'
Another source, close to the couple told Usmagazine.com: 'They are still talking and still friends. There's no drama. No one cheated. They just grew up.'
Vanessa talked about the relationship earlier this year, saying: 'Right off the bat, we had a connection.
'I think everybody could see it. When we had our audition, they paired us together. And he was adorable.' she told Glamour magazine.
'I think that we inspire each other,' she added. '[I love] having someone to grow with.'
